Updated: Aug 28, 2021

If you're a student, a web browser is your go-to driver for Everything; yes for everything( ifykyk). I know this cuz I myself am a student and nowadays I can't live without it. And as humans, we tend to make things easy for us

Well here are some amazing web browsing Chrome Extensions for all you peeps out there. I use these chrome extensions myself so don't worry we aren't bullshitting you!

Let's Begin!

1. Grammarly for Chrome

I can't stress enough on this one, the lifesaver extension for all those boring school assignments to write and those exciting college essays you are procrastinating to write! Believe it or not, even this blog was written using this extension!

Grammarly is a cross-platform cloud-based writing assistant that reviews spelling, grammar, punctuation, clarity, engagement, and delivery mistakes in real-time. It uses AI to identify and search for an appropriate replacement for the mistake it locates.

This is a must-download for all students out there! I personally use this extension all the time and it has saved my life so many times while writing important emails, essays, and stuff!

2. Panic Button

Remember when in the school's computer Lab, we used to play games hiding from the teacher, switching between those applications, and trying not to get caught but always did ಥ_ಥ, this solves that problem for your web browsers.

So in this extension, you basically just have to click a button and all your tabs will disappear, whenever you panic when your parents walk in and you've opened something you're not supposed to!

Hide all your tabs at once with one single button and restore them later. If you don't want to restore your tabs just delete the "Temporary Panic" folder in Chrome's "Other bookmarks"-folder. You can also use Panic Button's keyboard shortcut. Just press F4 to hide and restore all your tabs. (works with http:// or https:// pages).

Now don't panic but just click the Panic Button!

3. HTTPS Everywhere

If you're a student, I know you will visit those web pages you aren't supposed to visit, and sometimes you accidentally open something containing malware (also include other technical terms for a computer virus.) This chrome extension helps you with that.

If you have knowledge about computers and stuff, you might know that HTTPS on a webpage means that it is secure for you to use, if you opened a webpage w/o Https. in the beginning, it will open the same page with the https. format which is safer!

HTTPS Everywhere is an extension created by EFF and the Tor Project which automatically switches thousands of sites from insecure "http" to secure "https". It will protect you against many forms of surveillance and account hijacking, and some forms of censorship

Basically, this makes your browsing experience safer!!

4. Intelligent Speaker

This is a web extension that allows you to convert/transform pages and files into speech and reads them aloud. You save yourself the trouble of going through those long Articles or Pages and can rather listen to them instead of reading them!

How cool is that!

Intelligent Speaker is available for Google Chrome, Firefox, Android, and iOS which means you can listen to your texts on smartphones and tablets, any device with an RSS reader.

So if you're one of the types that uses your smartphones, tablets/Ipads as well as laptops to study, this one is definitely for you!

5. Picture-in-Picture

This web extension gives you the ability to watch videos in a floating window.

Picture-in-Picture (PiP) allows you to watch videos in a floating window (always on top of other windows) so you can keep an eye on what you’re watching while interacting with other sites, or applications.

This extension is completely safe, fast, and easy to add to your Chrome browser.

Now, no more going back and forth tabs, to watch a video as well as attend a lecture or read an article, do it all at once.

✔️ Play video in floating popup window.

✔️ Resize floating video pop-up.

✔️ Keyboard shortcut: Alt + P (⌥ + P on macOS)

You can tap on the titles of these Extensions and check them out!

Well, this was it for this blog folks! See you all Soon!!
